All web solutions are fully validated to W3C standards and Disability Discrimination Act compliance to ensure accessibility for the widest possible audience regardless of their ability.

This includes making access as easy as possible for people with disabilities who may have special needs. For more information on our legislation compliance please see the Accessibility page.

Freedom of Information Act
King's College London, along with many of our clients, are a public body and are thus subject to the Freedom of Information Act. The information that falls under this is listed in the Kings' Publication Scheme.

The majority of the information that we hold for our clients also falls under the new Environmental Information Regulations 2004, which are very similar to the Freedom of Information act, but cover environmental information and allows fewer exemptions.

Our websites are designed to conform with this by allowing data download, download of reports, and by having advanced statistical tools. We have also created an extension to the Kings Publication scheme to cover the specific enviromental information we hold.

Data Protection Act
ERG hold a small amount of personal information on our websites. This is stored this in encrypted form, and is designed to comply with the data protection act. We take security very seriously, testing for security when building sites, and having regular security checks of our live sites and webserver.
